New Beginnings

When talking to my friend, Stew, today he told me I should start my blog for Africa. Here it goes...13 days to go, I'm medically and dentally cleared to start my life in Liberia. For some reason, I don't really know why, but I've always wanted to live in Africa and now my time has come. Am I ready to live without running water and only hours of electricity? I can't wait to get back to the basics, start reading again, washing clothes by hand in the river and just shooting the shit with the locals. I feel I'm better prepared for this new Peace Corps adventure than the last but I like the unknown and this time I feel I will have a better an idea of what this life will intel. Going in with an open mind and no expectations is a lot harder than one would think...
